• The DPFA is an independent charity that is managed by community volunteers, the activities of the Darley Playing Fields, shop, and playground are not funded by the Council.
  • Football teams, or individuals can book the field to play football or events.  Please use the contact form on this site to get in touch with us, enquire and book the pitch.
  • DPFA Manages the lease of the shop, Post Office and Cafe. The shop also serves as the basis for the community meals on wheels service. The shop and Post Office are ran by Steve Willis and Crimple Valley Fresh.
  • The village playground has recently been updated with timber 'scramble stax' climbing frame and further activities for younger children.
  • There is a pavilion which houses changing rooms, showers and toilets that football teams can use during booked sessions.
  • The DPFA manage and maintain the children's playground. 
  • Petanque Courts have recently been added & all are welcome to play. Boules sets for adults & children are freely available to borrow at the shop.


  • As a charity, the DPFA runs fundraising events several times per year.  The main event we run is the firework display on 5th November each year which is a great opportunity for the community to come together.  We welcome volunteers to help out.  Do get in touch if you would be interested in sponsoring the purchase of the fireworks.
